Capture device error message

Great program, but twice now I've gotten error message "Could not connect capture pin #0 to grabber. Is capture device being used by another application?"

It isn't, and the only way I've found to fix this problem is to reinstall the program. Also this message occurs after hours of having the camera detected successfully and making no changes to my setup.
